What is an RBT?

The Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT®) is a paraprofessional certification in behavior analysis. RBTs assist in delivering ABA services under the supervision of a BCBA.

How to Become an RBT?

1. Meet Eligibility  

Be 18+ years old  

Have a high school diploma/GED  

Complete 40-hour training (offered by Pieces!)  

Pass a background check  

Pass the RBT Competency Assessment  

2. Get Certified 

Submit your application to BACB  

Pass the RBT exam  

3. Start Your Career
